3 Key Points

  1. The curious mindset is what separates successful people from the mediocre. Jack believes that diving into active rather learning is what leads to becoming an elite player. Stop watching video streams on Twitch and YouTube. Get yourself into a solver!
  2. If you think having more money will lead to happiness, think again! Switch your focus from your results to improving your process and stay off the emotional rollercoaster. Start to connect your satisfaction with solving the puzzle in the present moment, discovering your blind spots and triggers, and building your life and habits to support your goals.
  3. The best way to shortcut your success is to surround yourself with a team of poker players that support you. Connect with others that play your game type, so you can talk hands and compare notes. After Jack moved out of NYC and into a place with another poker player, the improvement in his play accelerated (and so did his bankroll growth).
